Know Your Value

An emerging theme this week has been about knowing our value and standing firmly in it. A lot of the time, we may have good intentions and act from the heart, and yet we still find ourselves questioning or doubting ourselves. Giving is a vulnerable process. We give something from the heart not knowing exactly how it's going to be received. We have a specific intention but have no idea what the other person's reaction is going to be. Will they be disappointed? Will they criticize us? Or worse yet, be offended?
The other person's reaction (or anticipating it) should never make us question or doubt our value. Remaining open to different perspectives, viewpoints, and understandings is always important, but we should never feel badly for being our authentic selves. When we can stand unwavering in our authentic words and actions, then it is already more than enough. It helps to restore an organic flow of being so we can consistently trust in who we are and what we have to offer without giving our power away to other people's reactions or opinions.
